Prevention, Awareness, and Trainings

Thrive Center provides community-based trainings & community awareness events on sexual & domestic violence, trafficking, dating violence, healthy relationships/consent, and the neurobiology of trauma. Thrive focuses on educating individuals and groups about prevention, awareness, and trauma informed response strategies including AZ Post Certified Trainings for Law Enforcement.

  • Awareness and Education: Providing information about the dynamics of sexual and domestic violence, including statistics, signs of abuse, and the impact on individuals and communities.

  • Prevention Strategies: Teaching participants how to recognize early warning signs of abuse and implement strategies to prevent violence before it occurs.

  • Support Resources: Informing participants about Thrives resources, community partner resources, and shelters available for victims of violence.

  • Bystander Intervention: Training individuals on how to safely intervene when witnessing acts of violence or harassment, and who to report the violence to.

  • Empowerment and Advocacy: Encouraging participants to advocate for policy changes and support victims through community engagement.

Community involvement is crucial for the success of our program, as it creates networks that can support our efforts, support survivors, and support Thrive Center financially so we can continue to expand resources and services for survivors while promoting a culture of respect and safety.
